The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers had your classic pitching duel in their Wednesday matinee at Miller Park. The Braves came away with a 1-0 victory and took two of three in their opening series. Both Aaron Harang and Matt Garza took no hitters into the seventh inning.

Braves third baseman Chris Johnson broke up Garza’s no-no in the seventh inning with a solo home run to left field which gave them the only run of the game.

Harang dazzled in his Atlanta debut as he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, but lost it on a Logan Schafer base hit up the middle. He also gave up a single to Aramis Ramirez before departing the game in the seventh. He struck out three in his 6 2/3 innings of work.
