I made a post about a month ago about the Braves having sufficient depth in their starting rotation to make it back to the playoffs and possibly win the World Series. Well, that depth is going to be tested after losing Kris Medlen and Brandon Beachy to Tommy John surgery. They did have to sign Ervin Santana to make up for the loss of those two guys. The Braves have also had good news about Mike Minor and Gavin Floyd and their return dates. They both should be back by late April. The Braves starting pitching staff by the beginning of May should be at full strength and will be Julio Teheran, Santana, Minor, Floyd and Alex Wood/Aaron Harang. That pitching staff along with their bullpen should get the Braves back into the playoffs as long as their offense becomes a little more consistent.

And with that I will make my predictions:
1. Braves win 90+ games. I think they will come under 96 wins but still will manage 91 or 92.
2. Freddie Freeman will hit over .300 with 25+ HRs and 100+ RBI
3. B.J. Upton and Dan Uggla will both hit over .240 and combine for 40+ HRs
4. Jason Heyward will play in over 145 games and will have another 20 HR, 20 SB season.
5. The Braves will have at least 5 guys hit 20+ HRs, with everyone hitting at least 12 HRs.
6. Craig Kimbrel will have 50+ saves and an ERA under 1.00.
7. Julio Teheran will pitch over 200 innings and have an ERA under 3.00.
8. The Braves will have two pitchers in the Top 10 voting for the NL Cy Young Award.
9. Braves win the NL East division over the Washington Nationals by a margin of 3 games.
10. The Braves will finally get over their playoff drought and will win at least one playoff series.

File this one away and see me in about 6 months and see how I did. And with that let’s go Braves.
