The Atlanta Braves are having a busy week as they agreed to a two-year contract avoiding arbitration with outfielder Jason Heyward. The biggest news was agreeing to an eight-year, $135 million contract with first baseman Freddie Freeman. The organization might not be finished.

According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the Braves are interested in extensions with shortstop Andrelton Simmons and starting pitcher Julio Teheran.

In his first full season, Simmons batted .248/.296/.396 with 17 home runs and 59 RBI for the Braves last year. He’ll look to improve on his batting average and should as he gets more experience.
