2012-13: 44-38, lost in first round of playoffs
The Atlanta Hawks have seemingly been the same team for the past half of a decade. Sure, the pieces have changed, but the result has, for the most part, remained the same: a solid regular season followed by an early postseason exit. Last year, the Hawks entered the season without Joe Johnson – who had long been the face of the franchise – for the time, but still managed a respectable 44 wins. But just like when Johnson was on the team, when playoffs began to separate the great from the good, Atlanta was nowhere to be seen, losing to the Indiana Pacers in six games.
