Minnesota Timberwolves v Atlanta Hawks
By: John Wickham

What a game for the Hawks last night. I was ready to crucify them. I was getting the effigies ready for burning in the street. But then something happened, they didn’t quit and were able to overcome a double-digit deficit not only once but twice, the last with 4 minutes left in the game. Kyle Korver went 3 point crazy in the second half for a franchise record 8 times in a half. 6 players scored in double digits with both Al Horford and Josh Smith getting double-doubles.

After starting off slow and going down 48-21, it looked like it was going to be the same old Hawks who have lost 9 out of 14 before last night and now have a 3-game winning streak.

This game can be a season definer for the Hawks. If, and it is a big if, they can use this momentum for the rest of the season I saw big things for them. I believe the Eastern Conference is a little weak this year. I certainly expect the Hawks to make the playoffs and get out of the first round. What they do after that is up to them.
