Georgia after losing badly to South Carolina has won 4 straight and has already clinched the SEC East. They are ranked 5th in the country but with Alabama losing they are more than likely moving up. They have an outside chance of making it to the national championship game if everyone in front of them wins out and if the voters believe that a 1-loss Georgia team is more deserving to go over at least 2 of the 3 teams out of Oregon, Kansas State, and Notre Dame. What they need to do is first take care of business against Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech and then beat an Alabama team that suddenly looks very beatable after the way they have played the last 2 weeks. Also a more likely scenario is needing probably 2 of the 3 teams in from of them to lose, which is possible as Kansas State has Texas to end the year, Oregon still has to play UCLA and then either USC or UCLA in their conference title game and Notre Dame has USC to end their season. So after the beat down in Columbia, Georgia still has a chance to reach their goal of a national title.
